CIRCLE OF LOVE ACTS 2:46-47 PRINCIPLE Here at the 2nd, we believe God has placed us into the body of Christ to be a church that loves and cares for one another, to be a living witness for the community and to reach out to other believers throughout our city and the state. At the 2nd, we have the “Circle of Love” ministry that is exclusive to caring for the members of our church. Circle of Love” was created to help all members with “relational connections” and “spiritual perfection”. It is our avenue for caring and communication within our church. The leaders serve the “Circle” by calling, caring, corralling and communicating. What better way to get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ. Acts 2:46-47 Principle The Membership performed the work of the ministry in small groups. Relationships were formed through fellowship…. Spiritual Perfection took place…. Unity was more evidenced…. Personal needs were met…. And God Continually added to the church!!!! Each COL Leader works with other leaders as a team with focused duties for a period of time…building MOTIVATION & ENCOURAGEMENT! Information and communication is given to the COL Leaders by the Membership Care Services Department and further communicated to the assigned Deacon. As well as, COL Leaders providing information and communication to the Membership Care Services Department. Circle of Love is composed of 3 teams: • New Member Relation Team Provides new members with continuous contact for 90 days from the pint of joining, orientation completion to ministry connection with phone calls, emails and mail. • Watchcare Team Provides contact for all bereavement, hospitalization, sick and shut in, etc. • C.C.C. Team Provides contact to membership for special events (i.e. St to St Dinner, special iniatives, Deacon requested contact, etc).

WEDDINGS Weddings for members are free at the SW Location and West location Chapel.

WATER BAPTISM BAPTISM REQEST FORM “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4 (KJV) Baptisms are held every 1st Sunday at the West Location New Worship Center during the 11 am worship service ONLY. Please contact the Membership Care Services Department to schedule a baptism and for more information. You may also complete the baptismal form on-line. Note: All youth under 12 MUST complete a counseling session with the Children’s Pastor BEFORE their scheduled baptism. On the Sunday of your baptism, please arrive at the West Location Worship Center no later than 10:00am to prepare for baptism. It is recommended that those desiring to be baptized walk towards the altar during the invitation period, which usually occurs after the sermon, as a public sign of his/her faith in Jesus Christ. Become a part of our Young Adult Ministry and join us for Young Adult Bible Study every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Upper Room (Chapel). EXALT Young Adults Follow Us Join GroupMe Let's do LIFE TOGETHER! Our Purpose In the study of Jeremiah, we witness that he engaged into ministry as a young adult at the approximate age of twenty. Today, he would be considered a young adult. The translation of Jeremiah is “Exalt God”. Thus, this is the mission of the Exalt Young Adult Ministry. We seek to exalt God through various sub-ministries, fellowships and worship. Exalt Young Adult Ministry will engage the overall young adult population of Second Baptist Church into different components of the ministry. To assist and foster the personal growth and education of young adults toward a relationship with Jesus Christ leading to Christian maturity. STUDY + GROW WITH US! Bible Study Every Tuesday at 6PM in the Upper Room (Chapel) College Exalt College is designed to reach college students by way of Second Baptist Church located in Little Rock, Arkansas. These students will connect with one another at church with the intentions of connecting to other college students outside of church at their respective campuses. Student organizations will be formed by SBC members located at their campus to provide a bridge of Word and Worship between Second Baptist Church and the college campuses. Children's Church It is imperative to educate children and teenagers about the Bible so that they can grow in the word of God. NexGen Children's Church is an excellent resource for parents who want instill a love for the Bible in their children. By relating the teachings of the Bible to trending topics, NexGen Children's Church makes learning about the Bible fun and engaging for young people. This approach helps children and teenagers develop a strong foundation of faith that will serve them well throughout their lives. Marriage Exalt Marriage is designed for young adults between the ages of 18-35. We will connect with our traditional marriage ministry to have a voice for this age range. We will attend the current marriage ministry meetings and events to further our knowledge and wisdom of marriage through Jesus Christ. We will serve as liaisons in the current marriage ministry to become actively involved in yearly events. Professional Exalts Professionals will be a ministry of young adult business professionals who work together to make networking connections and grow their businesses with principles of Jesus Christ. They will be encouraged and taught foundational skills such as stewardship, tithing, servant hood and leadership. In connection with our discipleship ministry, we will offer workshops that will develop them both spirituality and professionally. These members will be business owners, sales persons, public servants, and any professionals who wishes to increase their businesses and skills through Jesus Christ and one another.
